A Scholarship program by SET University and Tokarev Foundation for Ukrainians to study on MBA program UC Berkeley Haas. The 100% tuition coverage, which exceeds USD 178,000, is designed for two years. Sergey Tokarev, co-founder of SET University and founder of the Tokarev Foundation, announced the initiative.
What Is Known About the Programme and How to Apply
The MBA programme scholarship at UC Berkeley Haas gives you access to venture funds, the entrepreneurial community and other opportunities in the Silicon Valley ecosystem. The organisers note that the scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and is designed for two years. At the same time, the student is responsible for handling admission matters and preparing the required documents independently.
Business school has some basic requirements which are:
- C1 level in English (TOEFL or IELTS);
- a bachelor’s degree and authenticated copies of academic transcripts;
- a motivation essay;
- GMAT or GRE results;
- two letters of recommendation.
According to UC Berkeley Haas, applicants must have at least two years of full-time professional experience.
Any citizen of Ukraine may apply for the programme, regardless of age or country of residence. However, the organisers have an additional requirement: candidates must propose an idea that could contribute to Ukraine’s technology sector through science, education, entrepreneurship or investment. After enrolment, the scholarship recipient will become an ambassador for the Ukrainian tech community, publicly sharing their study experience, speaking at conferences and participating in other events organised by SET University and the Tokarev Foundation.
“Pursuing an MBA at one of the world’s leading business schools is about much more than obtaining a degree. It is, in essence, a passport to the Silicon Valley ecosystem, tech teams & VC. What is the rarest resource for any modern businessperson? Education of this type. We believe in the future of this programme. Ultimately, the scholarship aims to bring capital and knowledge back to Ukraine,” says Sergey Tokarev.
Applications for the 2026–2027 MBA programme at UC Berkeley Haas will be accepted in two rounds:
- Round 1: by 10 September 2026;
- Round 2: by 7 January 2027.
Applications for the scholarship must therefore be submitted by 3 September and 31 December 2026, respectively.
After submitting the online form on the organisers’ website, applicants will be contacted for a consultation and receive a complete list of requirements and recommendations. They must then prepare the necessary documents and complete the admission process independently. Following official enrolment, the Tokarev Foundation will cover their tuition fees.
